Barbara C. Morrow

HENDERSON — Barbara Ann Coffey Morrow, 78, of 1900 Rice Road, Henderson, NC, died Monday, August 22, 2016, at her home.

Born in Blowing Rock, NC, she was the daughter of the late Rhonda Lester and Leona Hampton Coffey.

A talented musician and singer, beginning at age 5, Mrs. Morrow was a former director of music at several churches, in Florida, Georgia, Kentucky and North Carolina. She was a member of Marrow's Chapel United Methodist Church. Her life was dedicated to her family, music and her Lord.

Funeral services will be held Friday, August 26, 2016, at 11:00 a.m., at Marrow's Chapel United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Frank Sossamon. A graveside service will be held Saturday, at 2:00 p.m. in White Spring Cemetery in Blowing Rock, NC.

Surviving are her husband, Floyd Ransom Morrow of Hamlet, NC; her daughter, Amanda Pendergrass and husband, Jeff, of Henderson; and three grandchildren, Braeden Pendergrass, McKallah Pendergrass and Alexis Blake, all of Henderson. She was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Coffey.

The family will receive friends Thursday, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m., at Flowers Funeral Home. All other times, they will be at the home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.

The family wishes to extend a special "Thank You" to her caregiver, Evelyn Chilton.
