So it seems that Jacob started with a wife “Anna Ursula”, and ended with an “Elizabeth”. I have not yet seen any convincing evidence on who Elizabeth was. Most published genealogies say she was Elizabeth Hall. Some say Elizabeth Haines. Some say Elizabeth Haines Hall. Some just say “Elizabeth”. But none provide any supporting information.

Per discussion with Jacob, best guess is that he married Elizabeth circa 1771.

We know, per Jacob’s will, that she was alive in 1782.

And we know that on 15 Nov 1786 a Surry County Court declared his daughter Catherine an orphan and bound her to John Daub, and in October 1787 a Lincoln County Court similarly declared his son Peter an orphan bound to John Fullenwider.

So a best guess is that Elizabeth died in about 1786, leaving Catherine and Peter as orphans?
