Adren resided with his parents in Blowing Rock Twp., Watauga Co., NC on 2 April 1930. Adren registered for the WW2 draft on 16 October 1940 in Boone, Watauga Co., NC.³⁴⁴⁴² Adren died of emphysema on 12 September 1968 at the age of 58 at Blowing Rock Hospital in Blowing Rock, Watauga Co., NC and was buried at Boone Fork Community Cemetery in Blowing Rock, Watauga Co., NC on 14 September 1968.^34443,34444

The Watauga Co. Heritage book entry by their daughter Geraldine Moody reveals that Reece "was a good mechanic." He was also a "skilled carpenter and gifted at repairing everything from clocks to grandchildren's toys."
