195. Elizabeth "Betsy" Coffey was born circa 1791 in North Carolina. Elizabeth died in Jackson Co., AL in 1837.

Elizabeth "Betsy" Coffey and James Coffey were married on 4 March 1804 in Adair Co., KY.498 James Coffey, son of Joel Coffey and Martha Stepp (Stapp), was born on 13 March 1774. He appeared in the census in 1810 in Columbia, Adair Co., KY.497 James appears to have been in Colorado Co., TX with his son Logan in 1846. He appears as Logan's agent on the tax rolls for that year.

A James Coffey is named as a son in his father's will. I doubt this is James, son of Joel and Martha Stapp Coffey.
