Henry Loving Coffey

Staunton, Nov. 29. A funeral service for Henry Loving Coffey, who died at his home in Fairfield Tuesday, will be held at 2 P.M. Friday at Fairfield Methodist Church, with burial in the Fairfield Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife Mrs. Sally Campbell Coffey, of Fairfield; seven daughters, Mrs. Richard Mantiply, Mrs. Manley Fitzgerald and Miss Jean Coffey, all of Fairfield; Mrs. George Stanley of Williamsport, Pa., Mrs. Kenneth Coffey, of Gladstone, VA; Mrs. Joe Carter of Lynchburg and Miss Beulah Coffey of Lexington; four sons, Roy W. Coffey, of Waynesboro; Clarence Coffey of (?), Henry Coffey, Jr., of Buena Vista, VA., and Private Maurice Coffey of the United States Army, serving in Germany; three sisters, Mrs. Mollie Wheeler of Amherst, Va; Mrs. Mall Ponten of Tye River, Va., and Mrs. Robrt Bolling, of Alexandria; one brother, Chester Coffey of Amherst and 10 grandchildren.

Henry Loving Coffey Sr. and Sarah Ellen "Sallie" Campbell were married on 26 September 1910 in Nelson Co., VA. They appeared in the census on 24 February 1920 in Temperance Dist., Amherst Co., VA.¹⁴⁴⁴⁵ Sarah Ellen "Sallie" Campbell, daughter of William Campbell and Martha Ware, was born on 13 April 1892 in Virginia. Sarah died at home in Fairfield, Rockbridge Co., VA on 21 April 1978 of a cerebral hemorrhage and was buried at Fairfield Cemetery in Fairfield, Rockbridge Co., VA in April 1978 .^14446,14447
