He retired six years ago after 30 years service with the Water Department. Surviving are his wife, Phronia, two sons, Glen of 1126 Carlisle and Gene of 526½ Elmwood Place; one daughter, Mrs. Elsie Montgomery of 136 S. Edwards' eight grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Edith Harlow of Dayton and Mrs. Hazel Spurlock of 208½ S. Main. He served as a private in World War I. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Siferd and Son South Main Chapel. Burial will be in the West Cairo Cemetery. Friends may call at the South Chapel. Pallbearers will be E. M. Harman, Frank Crissinger, Clyde Lippencott, Merle Jackson, Albert Phillips and Charles Logan. Ballard, was born on 4 February 1896 in Van Wert Co., OH.29403 She lived with her parents in Lima, Allen Co., OH on 14 June 1900. She lived with her parents in Bath, Allen Co., KY on 7 May 1910. Phronia lived with her parents in Lima, Allen Co., OH on 2 January 1920. Phronia died on 12 July 1988 at the age of 92 in Allen Co., OH and was buried at East Cairo Cemetery in Cairo, Allen Co., OH.29404 Phronia Coffey, 92, of Lima, died at 5 a.m. at Oaks Convalescent Center. She was born Feb. 4, 1896 in Allen County, the daughter of Park and Mary Ballard Grafton. She married Grover Coffey who died in 1959. Mrs. Coffey was a homemaker. Survivors include a son, Gene Coffey of Lima; a brother, Arthur Grafton of Lima; nine grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
