"Waynesboro, Feb. 20 - A funeral service was held Tuesday in the Love Christian Church for Mrs. Tressa Coffey, 69, who died Sunday at her home in Love, Va. Burial was in the church cemetery.

"She was the widow of Joseph Coffey. Survivors include four sons, the Rev. Pettit Coffey, of Mineral; Mack and Hugh Coffey, of Lyndhurst, and Baylor Coffey of Love; two daughters, Mrs. Hattie DeMasters and Mrs. Nellie Coffey, both of Lyndhurst; one brother, Zandy Coffey, of Love; five sisters, Mrs. Martha Arnold and Mrs. Etta Everitt, both of Love; Mrs. Mint Campbell and Mrs. Malvina Gregory, of Waynesboro, and Mrs. Ella Fitzgerald, of Roseland; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren."

Funeral service will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at the Love Christian Church, Love, for Joseph Coffey, 75, who died Wednesday in a Staunton hospital. Service will be conducted by the Rev. Mr. Harris, of Lynchburg, and interment will be in the church cemetery.

Born in Nelson County, son of the late Wash and Kit Demastus, the deceased had been a farmer. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Tressa Coffey, Love; four sons, the Rev. Pettit H. Coffey, of Mineral, Louisa County; Mack and Hugh Coffey, both of Lyndhurst; and Saylor Coffey, of Love; two daughters, Hattie Demastus and Mrs. Nellie Coffey, both of Lyndhurst; and two sisters, Mrs. Lize Coffey, Lyndhurst; and Mrs. Sallie Coffey, Staunton.
