Waynesboro News Virginian, March 15, 1950 Mrs. Mallissa Stevens Fitzgerald, 68, died at 3 a.m. today (March 15, 1950) at her home in Beech Grove. She was born Jan. 28, 1882 in Nelson County, daughter of the late Joseph and Minerva Thompson Truslow. Her husband, Charles Napoleon Fitzgerald died Dec. 26, 1949. She is survived by four sons, William, Leslie, Clinie and Lewis, all of Roseland; five daughters, Mrs. Haywood Campbell, Roseland; Mrs. Lonie Dodd, Waynesboro; Mrs. Helen Mawyer; Mrs. Swanie Wiggins, and Mrs. Maury Fitzgerald, all of Roseland. The body will remain at the Etter Funeral Home until 1 p.m. Friday when it will be placed in the Beech Grove Christian Church where it may be viewed prior to the service. The service will be in the church at 2 p.m. conducted by the Rev. J. L. McKinney with interment in the church cemetery.
