McDella Coffey

Mrs. McDella Coffey, 91, died at the Green River Rest home on December 20, 1974. For two years she had been critically ill and was in the Casey Hospital many times.

She was born on October 12, 1883, the daughter of Eliza and Betty Williams Cundiff.

She was married to Stephen Reid Coffey on March 9, 1904, and they operated a farm during his lifetime near Labascus until his death about five years ago.

She was the mother of Mrs. Marie Porter, Mrs. Marguerite McBeach, James Coffey, and Mrs. Anna Short Liberty [sic]. There are four grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

She was a sister of Mrs. Marie Morgan, Dunnville, Mrs. Mattie rich, Louisville, and Mrs. Mary Allen, Corydon, Indiana.

Services were help at the Bruces Chapel Methodist Church on Thursday, January 2 with Rev. Albert Allen and Rev. James G. Powell officiating. Burial was in the South Fork Cemetery.

Bartle Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
