Leland Coffey

Leland E. Coffey of La Mesa, CA, formerly of Stonington, died Monday, Aug. 14, at 2:30 a.m. in the Balboa Hospital in La Mesa, CA.

He was born August 5, 1932 in Decatur, the triplet son of Elmer and Minnie Coffey of Stonington. He was a veteran of World War II United States Navy.

Surviving are his sons, Elmer Dale, Richard Lee; triplet brother and sister, Leon Coffey and Lillian Boldini of Stonington and sister, Helen Porter of Taylorville. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Richard, Lynn; sisters, Mary Shewmaker, Lois DeVore, Jean Ribelin and Maxine Erwin; one niece and three nephews.

The body was cremated and memorial services will be held in La Mesa Cemetery in La Mesa at a later date.
