She was born Mar. 24, 1910, in Watauga County to the late Millard M. Coffey and Mary Nelson Coffey. A member of Shiloh Methodist Church, Mrs. Turnmire was a housewife. Survivors include her husband, William Lee Turnmire of the home; two sons, Grady Turnmire and William Turnmire, both of Lenoir; three daughters, Nina Coffey, Pauline Coffey and Lucille Sherrill, all of Lenoir; 23 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. The funeral is 4 p.m. Monday at Pendry's Lenoir Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Lynn Hawkins and Frank Hall officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Pallbearers include Kenneth Turnmire, Gary Sherrill, Larry Coffey, Richard Coffey, Michael Turnmire and Alan Sherrill.
