"Buena Vista, Va., May 15 - Mrs. Virginia Ann Davis Coffey, 84, widow of Arthur Coffey, of Alto, Amherst County, died Monday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. T. P. Crawford, of Buena Vista.

"Surviving are nine children, Mrs. Crawford and Mrs. J. W. Gibson of Buena Vista; Mrs. E. L. Sales of Amherst, Va.; Mrs. Glenn Wyatt, of Sparta, N.C.; Mrs. E. B. Humphries, of Lynchburg; Mrs. Huston Crawford and Leonard Coffey, of Alto; Heddie Coffey, of Raphine, Va., and Ernest Coffey, of Lexington; 41 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; three brothers, H. C. Davis, of Buena Vista; T. A. Davis of Lynchburg and Chester Davis, of Hampton, Va., and two sisters, Mrs. P. G. Stinnett, of Newport News and Mrs. Betty Johnson of Lynchburg.

"A funeral service was held Wednesday at St. John's Methodist Church, with burial in Green Hill Cemetery."
